Re: gauges
Hey HardyDoug,

I tried taking the needle out and I had no success, so I left them in my version of the step by step, I ended up having to use a needle nose set of tweezers to gently push down on the inside edge of the gauges where the needle goes so that the edge is not sticking a bit up thus preventing the needle/bulb from turning. Oh and thanks for the kind words.

Hey jep chrome
If you mean in the states, then the one place would be would be either ebay or directly from the supplier which is ProCarParts.com

Re: gauges
Why did she say no to them? I think they actually make it easier on the eyes to see the indicators and to me that makes it a safety issue worth having.

Besides how did she find out, didn't you put them in without her seeing it first? maybe if you bought her something in exchange.

Re: gauges
Maybe Twospirits needs a backup set in case his current backup set ever fails after installing it if his original set ever fails. You know, just in case. Better safe than sor... oh never mind!

Re: gauges
I bought these gauge faces for my daughter's Santa Fe for Xmas. For the record the wiring looks thin like it would burn before it could blow a 10 amp fuse.

I used a meter to measure that the maximum current draw is 0.06 amps. I will power them from a 2 amp circuit that I added. If I did not have one I'd add a 1 or 2 amp in line fuse.

Also rather than do the thing with the tape or paint on the back to eliminate stray light I may remove the existing bulbs or if they are needed for something then replace with blue LED bulbs.

Re: gauges
You know being that I am updating my webpage (once again) and looking over the step by steps as well as this thread, I just noticed that the indiglo I sent to Hardy were with MPH indications and not KPH. hmmm I wonder if hardy got used to it or is he breaking every speed limit over there. :lol

Re: gauges
It's all very confusing for us brits, we got both sizes running together,
we got metric and feet and miles,
we got both weights running together,
thats metric and pounds and ounces,
we got both quantity's running together,
thats litres and gallons,
but I be buggered if i'm going to use those kilometers as well......so there....OH and another thing??? why are your gallons bigger than mine :( :( :( whoa.....I got going there a bit...calm down calm down....i'll go take a happy pill shall I

Do you know we are not allowed to sell, say, a pound of apples any more...oh no....but you can still buy a quarter pounder at Mcdonalds, madness>: there I go again.......

Andy2035
Well I never did find any in UK.
I best let others advise you on that one as I got mine from Twospirits, he had a spare set, I know they are available on ebay.
I'm sure someone will jump in here with suggestions?
